Remembering our Former President, Ch’ng Kar Keat
We honour the life and legacy of our former President, Kar Keat Ch’ng, who passed away on 8 April 2026 at the age of 86. Born in 1940, Kar Keat joined Chung Ling Alumni Melbourne (CLAM) in 1969 and remained a steadfast pillar of our community for more than five decades. His dedication was unwavering. He participated actively in CLAM activities, represented Melbourne at Chung Ling Alumni World Carnival events and contributed in countless ways to the growth and spirit of our association. Kar Keat served as President from 2007 to 2010, leading with humility, wisdom and a deep sense of responsibility. His leadership helped shape the strong, united Melbourne alumni family we cherish today. Kar Keat, your unwavering commitment and decades of service have left a lasting mark on our community. Thank you for the devotion and care you showed throughout your years with us. Your legacy continues to inspire. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May he be remembered with respect, gratitude and affection by all whose lives he touched. 緬懷我們敬愛的前會長張家傑 他於 2026 年 4 月 8 日安詳離世,享年 86 歲。 莊會長生於 1940 年,於 1969 年加入墨爾本鍾靈校友會(CLAM),五十多年來一直是我們社群中堅定可靠的支柱。他對校友會的奉獻始終如一,積極參與各項活動,多次代表墨爾本出席世界鍾靈校友嘉年華會,並以多方面的付出,為校友會的發展與凝聚力作出無數貢獻。 莊會長於 2007 至 2010 年擔任墨爾本鍾靈校友會會長,以謙遜、睿智與崇高的責任感引領校友會穩健發展。他的付出與遠見,為我們今日所珍惜的團結、融洽的墨爾本校友家庭奠下重要基礎。 莊會長,您多年來的堅持與奉獻,深深地烙印在我們的社群之中。感謝您一直以來的付出與關懷。您的精神與遺澤,將永遠啟發著我們。 我們向他的家人及親友致以最深切的慰問。願他永遠被銘記——以尊敬、感恩與深情懷念。 |
